Since we couldn’t get a camping site in Yellowstone today we decided to go halfway and camp at Teton NP. What a great misfortune. The view on Jackson Lake is maybe one of the nicest we’ve seen. The peak is deceivingly high. It seems much shorter than Evan or Elbert but is actually a whopping 13,776.

We were aware that bear activity would pick up as we got closer to Yellowstone, but man, do they beat you over the head with it here. I’m wondering if it’s actually warranted or if the park rangers are just use to dealing with fools. I’m guessing it’s the latter since I saw with my own eyes some idiot petting a squirrel at Zion. We are all the weakest link. sigh…
